JYSA Mic Check will be back for it's second annual debut. Details are very secretive at this point! It is promising to be a huge and I mean Huge event during the Jamboree. Try outs for this vocal competition will be posted very soon. Please note due to State Restrictions, JYSA Rules and Insurance Restrictions we cannot allow dogs on the park premesis. If you bring a dog you will be asked to leave. Parents and Coaches please remind all children the dangers of hanging on a goal or playing in the nets. Just look up "Dangerous soccer goals" on you tube and you will see what I mean. Children do not think of the goal falling over on them until it is too late. JYSA has applied our resources to protect goals from falling over, but more can always be done. There are stickers placed on the goals, soon there will signs on the fields and education through coaches and parents must remain vigilant. When and where can I sign up? Sign-ups have ended for the Spring Season. Fall Sign-ups are right around the corner, July 11th through August 1st. Every Saturday at the City County Park, Parks and Recreation Building. You can also register on-line. Events This Season? JYSA Golf Scrammble August 29th and Mic Check during the Jessamine Jamboree October 3rd. What is Player Development Night? Player Development night is an instructional tool used for JYSA youth that is geared toward fun. Instruction is provided by a licensed coach who is seasoned in instructional youth soccer coaching. It ensures that all youth children are getting the same tools and knowledge of the game on an even playing field. All instructional nights are located at the City County Park. Teams will come together as one team to practice under the direction of the Licensed Coach. Ball, Cleats, shin guards and water bottle are required. Player Development Nights are over until the fall season. Can I Coach? JYSA is also seeking Youth Coaches. If interested in participating as a coach, please contact us from the JYSA website or on the registration paperwork and state that you would like to coach. A background check is required before your season starts. Notice from Referee Assignor: Interested in making some extra cash? We are also seeking Referees. If interested contact us through the website. You will be required to take classes and be certified. Referees are in high demand for all youth sports across our nation. Candidates will need to be strong minded, dependable, objective and have the ability to control a game. Check JYSA website for class dates and details.
